Where are you from? Born in Mobile, AL
Where did you go to school? BA in Accountancy Birmingham-Southern College; MSLIS University of North Texas
What led you to this career? While thinking about getting a Master's Degree, I looked at the Library program and thought it sounded interesting. I made a great decision
What do you do at HQ IMCOM and in what circumstances would I come to you for something? I'm happy to talk with any of you about whatever you may want to know. I'm the type of Chief that wants everyone to know as much as they can. Transparency is important.
What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on? Not really a skill, but I'm working to understand my office and the garrisons to be able to provide excellent service.
What’s your go-to productivity trick? Unfortunately, my best go-to productivity trick is procrastination until I'm near a deadline. I encourage you NOT to use this trick!
What was your first job? Waitress. First job out of college was an auditor with DA at Yuma Proving Ground
What do you like to do when you aren’t working? Run, walk, watch tv, travel.
Who are your favorite sports teams? I have many since I've lived all over the US, but will go with New Orleans Saints, University of Alabama and Auburn and all of college basketball
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know? I ran a marathon (26.2 miles) in 2015 in Tucson. At mile 3, I dropped my phone in a porta-potty. For 23 miles I sang to myself. It wasn't pretty!
What’s the top destination on your must-visit list? I've been to all the continents except Antarctica and Australia, so I'm going with Australia and New Zealand.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be? Musician so I could play in a band!
If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why? Now Where Was I? I remember many things based on where I've lived. When I remember where I was, I can associate that with experiences.
What book are you reading now? I know I should read more. I finished reading The Testaments and now I'm reading Nickel Boys.
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day? Run. It helps me decompress.
What’s your guilty pleasure? So many to choose from. I watch the Bachelor and Bachelorette so I can converse with my nieces about the show.
Who would play you in a movie about your life? For my serious side, I'll go with Annette Benning and for the funny side, I'll go with Julia Louie-Dreyfus.
Do you have a hidden talent? What is it? If I do, it's hidden from me!!
What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten? Guinea Pig. It's apparently a delicacy in Peru. I don't advise it!
